Discovering outdoor activities inAuzon Community.

In order to better understand the area and better inform customers, the entire team participated in the familiarization tour organized by Yannick Dupoux (A big thank you to him!). Throughout the day, he introduced us to the many outdoor activities offered in the Auzon Communauté area.

Lempdes-sur-Allagnon

After a friendly welcome and the presentation of the program to the community of municipalities of Auzon, focus on Lempdes-sur-Alagnon to discover the different tools for developing the territory.

Between billboards and digital displays, everything is in place to explore the region, whether with family or in a more sporty way.

For a fun activity, the app “The Adventures of Saint-Verny" is ideal and free.

The orienteering course allows you to discover the village of Lempdes by finding the 10 markers. The map is available at Pont d'Allagnon campsite 3***in Brioude Sud Auvergne Tourist Officeor via a QR code. Thanks to Joël Brosson, the campsite manager, for the warm welcome, the presentation of the different accommodations, and his involvement in the activities.

The more athletic among you can take on the challenge of the nature trail, which has 12 markers around Lempdes s/A.

Looking for a bit of an adrenaline rush? A climbing crag stands along the Alagnon River, offering around twenty routes of varying difficulty. In summer, you can also try canoeing with family or friends. Yannick Sport Adventures

Chamberzon

We then continue towards Chamberzon, where a superb panorama of the Alagnon valley awaits us, as well as a viewpoint indicator (parking recommended before the site, then access on foot).

We then head towards Saint-Hilaire (43), where there is a very nice orientation table near the church. The panorama there is exceptional: view of the Cantal mountains, the Puy de Dôme massif and, in clear weather, of the Alps chain.

The village is also home to a distillery essential oils, with a sales area and guided tours available in summer by reservation.

Champagnac Le Vieux

Then, departure for Champagnac-le-VieuxA stop at the observatory is a must before lunch at the Le Saint-Pierre restaurant, known for its family-style cuisine.

In summer, daily activities are organized, open to campers and visitors alike. Don't miss the local farmers' market in the village on Wednesday evenings.
