An inhabited and dynamic mountain, the Massif Central brings together four regions and twenty-two departments, 3 municipalities and 942 million inhabitants.

The territory has eleven regional natural parks, a national park including the chain of Puys and the fault of Limagne listed as World Heritage by Unesco.
