Fontannes village

The village of Fontannes extends over a rich alluvial plain which is part of the Limagne de Brioude.
A rich little rural heritage pleasantly enlivens the walks around the village. : communal oven, Roman bridge, Romano-Byzantine style church, ironworking loom and wash house in Frugerolles where a century-old ash tree stands, Saint-Eutrope fountain
The setting offered by the Allier and Senouire rivers will fascinate young and old. Circuits take the walker to the Saint-Eutrope fountain located on the road to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle (old Roman road).
You may encounter common harriers, red kites and herons by the rivers.
