Combining know-how, creativity, innovation and training, the Hôtel de la Dentelle (registered trademark) is the high place of points d'esprit founded by Odette Arpin. You enter the world of bobbin lace in the cradle of Cluny Polychrome de Brioude. You will enjoy discovering its many facets and exhibited treasures: a hundred contemporary and colorful creations. The workshop is visible during the visit. A video retraces the manufacture of colored lace, the historical evolution, the technique of this living and working space dedicated to the beauty of the gesture. This Qualiopi-approved training center offers courses for all levels, children and adults, all year round, as well as initiations for those who wish to have the bobbins dance briefly. The temporary exhibition at the Hôtel de la Dentelle 2024 is... Emmanuelle Dupont: “Textile Sculptures”! From June 7 to October 26. Winner of the Liliane Bettencourt Prize for the Intelligence of the Hand 2008, Emmanuelle Dupont hand embroiders the most varied materials to create her gorgonians and other textile sculptures.
