All year round, every day.

The commune of Léotoing, located 60 km south of Clermont-Ferrand, covers 2 hectares of plateaus and hills overlooking the Alagnon Valley. There are fourteen villages with a population of 000.
As soon as you arrive in the village of Léotoing, you'll immediately fall in love with the beauty of the landscape. The word "serenity" immediately comes to mind.
From this hamlet, built on a peak at an altitude of 620 metres in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes, we discover breathtaking 180° views of the Cézallier massif and the Forez mountains.
Upon arrival at the car park at the entrance to the village, you can begin your visit at the leper chapel, which features an exhibition on the history of Léotoing. An orientation table will help you find your way around the area and give you a broad view of the landscape towards the Cézallier massif and the "cut country". An information panel will further satisfy your curiosity next to the car park.
The originality of the village of Léotoing lies in the division of medieval society into three orders; the military function with the medieval fortress from the 1.060th century, remodeled in the XNUMXth (private property) behind its ramparts, the religious function with the Saint-Vincent church dating from XNUMX, listed as a historic monument and the presbytery, the peasant function with its old farmhouses and winegrowers' houses, the communal oven and the terraced developments on the hills which mark the identity of the landscape and bear witness to a rich historical but also geological and botanical heritage.
Visit the church according to the program of the Pays d'art et d'histoire du Haut-Allier.
The castle of the Seigneurie de Léotoing, a younger branch of the Seigneurs de Mercœur, now private property, is closed to the public.
Free access all year round to the biodiversity and peasant terraces interpretation trail or possibility of a guided tour from April to September. (see "Léotoing terraces" section).
