Come and immerse yourself in the 5 centuries of history of coal extraction from the Auvergne subsoil. This Mining Museum owes its particularity and originality to its galleries: no less than 160m of identically reconstructed galleries.
The Mining Museum is located in the old mining machinery building. This is where the energy necessary for coal mining was produced and transformed. This is also where the important machine which operated the lowering and raising of the cage was located.
