The Auvergne Animal Park is a unique reserve for rare and endangered species, which stands out at European level. On 45 ha, you are made aware of biodiversity and discover nearly 350 rare and threatened animals of 60 different species.

Come meet snow leopards, red pandas, wolverines, tigers, Amur leopards, takins, Tibetan black bears, Rothschild's giraffes, Hartmann's zebras, primates, two-toed sloths, dhole, pygmy hippos, cheetahs and, more a total of 350 rare and endangered animals!

The Park is located in an exceptional natural site, where you can admire many incredible views of the Cézallier and discover the different actions implemented for animal welfare and species conservation, while visiting a site that proves its difference on a European scale.

Indeed, the Auvergne Animal Park stands out in many aspects: the largest enclosure in Europe for Amur panthers and new for 2024, the first park to house Thorold deer, integration of an animal nutritionist and of an educational manager within the team, creation of an association dedicated to ethology and another to learning about biodiversity via new technologies, proposal for new mixed enclosures of great diversity immersive activities allowing you to become familiar with animals (family safari, privilege meeting, holiday course, etc.). Absolutely worth discovering!

Also enjoy spectacular enclosures where you can enter among the animals: chamois/ibex, lemurs or sika deer, and numerous walkways allowing you to get up close to the animals (red pandas, bears, wolves, giraffes). The Auvergne Animal Park is very involved in the conservation of endangered species throughout the world but also in Auvergne, notably through the Play for Nature endowment fund, and participates in numerous international species breeding programs in Endangered.

Located in Ardes-sur-Couze in Puy-de-Dôme, the Park is just 45 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand and Besse/St Nectaire/Murol and 15 minutes from exits 15 and 17 of the A75, near 'Issoire. For the 4th consecutive year, it received the TripAdvisor certificate of excellence. It has also obtained the Quality Tourism label and is starred in the Michelin Auvergne guide but also Le Petit Futé. A company with a mission, it received two trophies for its concrete commitment to the environment in 2023 and joined the “Company committed to nature” program.
