Tourist accommodation: Do you have to pay fees to SACEM?

Information from the SACEM Office in Saint-Etienne, relating to the compliance of tourist accommodation

Do not confuse audiovisual royalties and SACEM rights

These are two totally distinct points, financing different schemes, one of
the other. The first concerns the funding of public broadcasting (before its abolition) and
the second, the remuneration of songwriters.

Mail status on this issue

Following the questions of the hosts on the payment or not of the royalty, the actors of tourism regrouped; therefore the Tourist Office has approached the Maison du Tourisme de Haute-Loire.

The bodies of the UNPLV (the National Union for the Promotion of Holiday Rentals)

accommodations.
The deputies and senators have been seized of this situation and the latter have moreover
scheduled a SACEM hearing at the beginning of November. At this stage, it is not possible to
prejudge the consequences of this action.
