Rather discreet, partly hidden by the branches of a tree and a wooden post, the respectable Brioude promotional panel still stands, somewhere between Saint-Germain-Lembron and Lempdes-sur-Allagnon

Faithful to its initial tourist mission, and despite the climatic assaults which have somewhat tarnished its face over the decades, it promotes "the Romanesque basilica", "camping" and "the clear waters of the Allier" on the edge of a road axis which, before the A75 came into service, constituted the obligatory passage towards Haute-Loire or Cantal.

And you ? During your walks have you ever seen old signs? Old signs?

If so, do not hesitate to send your photos to the Brioude Tourist Office. We will be happy to share them
