In the countryside
The Espalem site is made up of four small marshes (Lac Citrou, Grand Lac, Lac Redon and Lac Long).

These laces are not to be confused with a local term "the lake" designating small temporary wetlands. These small natural wetlands are located on "lime", basaltic plateaus located between 500 and 900 meters. These natural formations are unique in France, because they are linked to the Auvergne volcanic substrate.
A path crosses the marshes allowing you to come and observe its rich flora and fauna.
