Divided between plateau and valley, the walk has two faces: one open to the fields and pastures with the Cézalier for the horizon, the other more intimate, camouflaged under the foliage of the Ceroux valley, which leads to the gates of the castle. of the Mas.
From the Place de la Mairie in Saint-Jus tprès-Brioude, turn left towards the church and, at the junction just after, follow the D 171 towards Talairat.
Fork on the first path on the right; leave a path up to the left and continue to the road. Follow this one on the right until the D 122 which we take on the left.
Take the first path on the right.
This path describes a wide curve to the left and climbs gradually (see
on the Cézalier) to the road, near Recoul. Follow this to the right
down to Vazeilles.
In the hamlet (fountain, oratory), head right towards the oratory. Take a lane that goes right between houses. Navigate the path opposite between the hedges. At the intersection, follow a well-marked path to the left. Continue on the most marked path which evolves at mid-slope and which alternates ascents and descents (view of the valley of the Ceroux stream). Descend steeply to the road.
Follow it to the right (leave the Château du Mas on the left) as far as Saint-Just-près-Brioude.
